anthony's Fundraiser for Climate Ride Death Valley 2024
Fundraiser for Climate Ride by Anthony Thomas ·
Hey. I’m riding through Death Valley to save our planet and I need your help! I’m joining cyclists from across the country on Climate Ride’s Death Valley cycling tour in an effort to raise funds for organizations that work for sustainable climate solutions and active transportation.
We are each committed to raise funds for the organizations we have chosen. I am trying to raise at least $4,000 to be shared by:
- Bikes Not Bombs ...
- We ACT for Environmental Justice, and
- Black Girls Do Bike, NYC
Look, the rain in L.A. has been insane. There’ll be no snow in Minneapolis this April, with actual heat waves a few months away. Here in NY, the little buds are trying to peek through the soil in Central Park and the upstate bears are kinda cranky from being woken up early. You know. You've seen the changes.
Some days it can be hard to know how you can help in this cause, but by supporting our efforts right now, you will truly make a difference.
I'm putting substantial effort into this cause by going for a multi-day, several-hundred mile ride through the desert on a-bike-with-no-name, mostly without food or water, no contact with civilization, and sleeping in a ditch by the side of the road. Actually, we’ll eat well, have plenty of water and camp under the stars in one of the most beautiful unchanged natural environments left. And I promise that if you help with a donation of any size, I will be sharing beautiful pictures and a daily blog. You’ll be there with us, cheering us on as we ride for you and your family.
Your generous donation will help these organizations work to turn the tide, build the green economy, advocate for vulnerable communities, and secure our energy future.
Climate change affects all of us. It impacts public health crises, natural disasters, leads to economic downturns, and so much more. More than ever, people like us need to come together and work toward a sustainable, green future. A great way that you can help create meaningful, lasting change is by raising crucial funds to support organizations who are putting sustainability issues at the forefront of their mission.
Please support my fundraising for Climate Ride!
You can make a secure online donation today by clicking on the 'Support Me' button. You'll automatically receive an acknowledgment, and I will be notified by email of your generous support.
Thank you for your help — you’re part of the positive change we so desperately need!
P.S. Climate Ride events are unique and life-changing experiences. Their organization delivers millions of dollars in grants each year to other nonprofits in the fields of bike advocacy, conservation, and climate solutions around the U.S. To sign up for your own amazing Climate Ride experience, you can check out their events list here!
