How do charities receive donations?
We partner exclusively with PayPal Giving Fund to benefit charities in the United States, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. PayPal Giving Fund receives donations and grants donated funds to benefiting charities, based on their policies and terms in eligible countries.

How do taxes work?
Donations to non-profits may be eligible for tax benefits or deductions, depending on local law and the location of the donor and non-profit.
If you have questions relating to taxes, please contact a tax professional.

Are there fees?
Meta no longer covers donation payment processing fees in the United States, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. All donations in those countries will now incur a payment processing fee from a third-party payment processing partner. Donors will have the option to increase their donations to cover fees.

Can I donate anonymously?
Yes. To donate privately, select "Only me" from the privacy menu in the donation form.
Please note that fundraiser creators and the PayPal Giving Fund can see all donations. Only they can see donation amounts.

Team Ryan's Fundraiser for 2024 Men's IRONMAN World Championship

I am fundraising for inclusion in the sport of triathlon. Team Ryan started back in 2011. My son Ryan was born with Down Syndrome. My wife and I took Ryan to the local Down Syndrome festival and 5k in October of 2011. We had great support from family and friends. We walked the 5K. I got to the halfway point in the 5K and decided to run back to the finish. I could not do it. I made it my mission to get into shape to be around for Ryan. Fast forward a few years. My running got a lot better. Since running is an individual sport, I had to include Ryan somehow. I started pushing him in the 5K runs. We moved onto longer distances and ultimately a full marathon. We have also competed in several Sprint Triathlons. Ryan currently plays sports with Special Olympics and other local organizations. We love seeing him play and compete. Ryan and my wife volunteered at the 2022 Ironman Florida. They were helping at the 13.1 mile aid station. He brought so much j...oy to all the runners, especially when we needed it the most. He made the 2022 Ironman Florida event highlight video so check it out. I hope Ryan follows my steps and the steps of others one day and competes in triathlons and cross an Ironman finish line. It is a joy seeing others with special needs compete in triathlons with the likes of Chris Nikic. Please help support Team Ryan in raising money for inclusion in sports.

In 2023, we are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the IRONMAN Foundation! Since 2003, over $55 million has been provided through the IRONMAN Foundation's charitable giveback programs to more than 10,000 local, regional, national and global nonprofit initiatives. Through these partnerships, IRONMAN athletes are powerfully linked to the community and together we leave the IRONMAN legacy behind in our race communities long after race day. We #RaceForMore.
