The Blood Donations tool on Facebook is going away on 28 March 2024.
More information for blood donation organisations:
  • Starting on 28 March, you won't be able to use the Blood Donations tool to communicate with blood donors.
  • As an alternative, create a WhatsApp channel, then share and pin it to your Facebook Page to continue reaching donors.

Organisations that collect blood donations can create posts about donations to reach more nearby blood donors. To sign up your organisation, you must be an admin of your organisation's Facebook Page and signed in to your account. We'll notify you once your application has been reviewed.
Register your organisation
  1. Go to facebook.com/blooddonationspartner and click Get started.
  2. If your organisation has a Facebook Page, click to select your Page. If not, click Create new Page, then click Save, add the required information and click Create Page.
  3. Select how you want to provide the location info for your organisation. For nine or fewer locations, Manually add locations is recommended. For ten or more, click Upload Locations to upload location info by downloading a spreadsheet template.
  4. Click Select, then Submit.
Selecting your organisation's Page will use the info from your Page to fill in details about your organisation. If you select Create new Page, a Page will be created for your organisation.
To upload multiple locations for your organisation at one time, download the CSV template provided, enter the details of each location and upload the completed CSV template.
