Groups focused on buying, selling or promoting products are subject to our Commerce Policies and may have different features available for admins.
You must be an adult, based on the laws in your country, in order to buy, sell or see listings in a Facebook buy-and-sell group (e.g. at least 18 years old in the United States or at least 20 years old in Thailand). If you're not an adult, you can still participate in the group, outside of listings.
Features unavailable for commerce groups
To make sure that our commerce policies are met and to help keep groups safe, groups focused on buying, selling or promoting products will not have certain features. This includes anonymous posts.
Note that commerce groups in some countries might not have access to Community Chats.
All listings to buy, sell and promote products must meet our commerce policy guidelines. Learn more about our Commerce Policies.
Differences with buy-and-sell groups
A buy-and-sell group is like a regular group, except it lets members:
- List items for sale.
- Mark items as sold.
- Search items to buy.

Prohibited items
Items such as animals, drugs, weapons, counterfeits and other items that infringe intellectual property rights aren't allowed in buy-and-sell groups or on Marketplace.
