Classic Pages on Facebook are updating to the new Pages experience. You'll still have access to many of the same features to manage your professional presence, build your brand or business, grow your audience and connect with followers. Your content, insights, ads, Likes and followers will automatically transfer when your Page updates.
Your username can help people find you on Facebook. It's also used in the web address for your profile or Page (e.g. facebook.com/username).
Your Page's username will appear below your Page's name and in your Page's URL to help people find and remember your Page. An example of a username could be @JaspersMarket if the Page name is Jasper's Market.
You can create a Page username if you have Facebook access to a new Page.
New Pages experience
To create a username for your Page:
- Log in to Facebook, then click your profile photo in the top right.
- Click See all profiles, then select the Page that you want to switch into.
- Click your Page's profile picture in the top right.
- Click Settings & privacy, then click Settings.
- In the left menu, click your Page's name.
- Below General Page settings, click Edit next to Username.
- Enter a username.
- If the username is available, click Save changes.
If the username you want is already taken or not approved, you'll need to choose a different one. Make sure that the username you're trying to create follows the guidelines for custom usernames.
Bear in mind that newly created Pages may not be immediately able to create a username, and that your Page's username may be removed because of inactivity.
