How are Facebook News stories chosen?

Facebook News, located in the News tab, will no longer be available in The United Kingdom, France and Germany starting in early December 2023. You can download your Facebook News data by visiting Your Facebook information in your profile settings. Learn more in Newsroom.
Facebook News aims to elevate high-quality, original and relevant journalism and share diverse perspectives. Aside from curated Top Stories that everyone sees, news stories can be selected to appear in Facebook News in the following ways:

Facebook News stories are suggested for you based on things such as:
  • Your likes, shares and comments on Facebook
  • Your interactions on groups and Pages
  • Your activity on your Feed
Bear in mind that: You can choose to see or hide stories from specific publications in Facebook News.
