Personalise your navigation bar on Facebook

To personalise your navigation bar, you'll need to use Facebook for iPhone, iPad or Android.
When you open Facebook on your iPhone, iPad or Android device, you'll see a menu with shortcuts to things such as events or groups. From this navigation bar, you'll also see notification dots to let you know about recent activity.
You can change and personalise what you see on the navigation bar, and also turn off notifications dots.
Personalise your navigation bar
  1. Open the Facebook app for iPhone, iPad or Android.
  2. Tap More on your shortcut bar and select Settings and privacy.
  3. Tap Settings, then tap Navigation bar.
  4. Tap Customise your navigation bar.
  5. Tap the drop-down menu next to the shortcut, then select Pin, Auto or Hide.
Turn off notification dots
  1. Open the Facebook app for iPhone, iPad or Android.
  2. From any Facebook Page, tap and hold on a navigation shortcut on the navigation bar.
  3. Tap Turn off notification dots, or Hide from shortcut bar to remove it.
You can also turn these off by navigating to Manage notification dots, in your Navigation bar settings.
Note: You can't remove the notifications
