Choose what you get notifications for on Facebook

You can't turn off notifications entirely, but you can choose what you're notified about and how you're notified.
You can change what you get notified about when you're on and off Facebook. While push notifications are sent to you when you aren't using Facebook, in-app notifications appear as notification dots.
Choose what you get notified about
  1. Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
  2. Select Settings and privacy, then click Settings.
  3. Click Notifications on the left-hand side.
  4. Click to adjust how you get notifications and what you get notified about.
