Classic Pages on Facebook are updating to the new Pages experience. You'll still have access to many of the same features to manage your professional presence, build your brand or business, grow your audience and connect with followers. Your content, insights, ads, Likes and followers will automatically transfer when your Page updates.
You can set your Page's messaging status to away for up to 12 hours. Learn how to create an away message for your Page that's automatically sent to people who message your Page when your Page's messaging status is set to away.
Note: Messages received when your Page is away aren't included in your Page's response rate or response time.

New Pages experience
If you have Facebook or task access to a Page, you can set your Page's messaging status to away.
To set your Page to away with Facebook access:
  1. Log in to Facebook, then click your profile photo in the top right.
  2. Click See all profiles, then select the Page that you want to switch to.
  3. Click in the top right of Facebook.
  4. In the top right of your Inbox, click Available.
  5. From the drop-down menu, click Away. You can also choose to Edit away message and schedule.
To set your Page's messaging status to away with task access:
  1. From your Feed, click Pages in the left menu.
  2. Below the Page that you want to manage, click Manage Page and then click Meta Business Suite.
  3. In the left menu, click Inbox.
  4. In the top right of your inbox, click Available.
  5. From the drop-down menu, click Away. You can also choose to Edit away message and schedule.
