Please use this form to request the removal of a medically incapacitated or deceased person's account, or for memorialisation special requests.
We extend our condolences and appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process. Please note that we generally aren't able to respond to reports about issues other than account memorialisation.
To protect the privacy of people on Facebook, we cannot provide anyone with login information for accounts.

We can only help with issues where the account is memorialised or was removed after the account holder passed away. If the account you need help with isn't already memorialised or removed, we may need to memorialise the account in the process of resolving your issue.
If you're requesting to have your loved one's account memorialized, please provide a scan or photo of your loved one's obituary, death certificate, memorial card or other documentation confirming that they've passed away.
Please bear in mind that the information on the documentation you provide must match the information on your loved one's account.
In order to remove your loved one's account, we'll need you to provide a scan or photo of their death certificate.

Please note that if there is a legacy contact on the account:
  • Only the legacy contact can request profile removal.
  • The profile can be reported for memorialisation and will remain memorialised (unless the legacy contact requests removal).
To protect this person's privacy, we need you to provide each of the following identifying documents:
  • - Your proof of guardianship (e.g. power of attorney, court order)
  • - An official note or document from a doctor or medical facility outlining this person's condition
Feel free to cover up any personal information that we don't need to verify your report (e.g. home address, medical record number etc).

After we verify your information, we'll remove this account from Facebook. If this person's condition is reversible, we can deactivate the account instead of deleting it. That way, when this person recovers, they can log back in and reopen the account.
