Meta Verified for Business Terms of Service
These Meta Verified for Business Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your (referred to herein as you, your, or "Paid Subscriber") purchase of, and participation in, a subscription bundle of benefits with Meta for a business or commercial purpose. These Terms supplement and amend, as applicable, the Instagram Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, Facebook Terms of Service and Community Standards, Community Payment Terms, Meta Commercial Terms and all other terms, conditions and policies incorporated therein. These Terms supplement, as applicable, the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service. These Terms are between you and Meta Platforms, Inc., ("Meta") or Meta Platforms Ireland Limited ("Meta Ireland") (as provided under the Terms of Service) and you agree that you will ensure that any third party on whose behalf you access or use Meta Verified for Business (as defined below) for any business or commercial purpose will abide by these Terms, and you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that third party to these Terms. Depending on your country of residence, aspects of Meta Verified for Business may be owned, operated or controlled by Meta, Meta Ireland or affiliates of Meta or Meta Ireland (each, a "Meta Affiliate" and collectively, the "Meta Affiliates"). References to "us", "we" and "our" mean either Meta, Meta Ireland or a Meta Affiliate, as appropriate. Any capitalised terms used but not defined herein have the meaning given to them in our other terms and policies, including the Facebook Terms of Service and the Meta Commercial Terms. Each Meta Verified for Business subscription is accessed through and part of the "Meta Products" provided by Meta, and your use of Meta Verified is deemed part of your use of the Meta Service, Instagram Service and Facebook Service. As part of your Subscription Services, you will have access to certain additional WhatsApp Business Services (as defined in the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service). The WhatsApp Services provided as part of the Subscription Services shall be governed by the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service, which are incorporated herein by reference. By joining, using or otherwise participating in Meta Verified for Business, you agree to these Terms. - Definitions.
- Business Portfolio is a product offering within the Meta Business Suite that enables Business and creators to connect and manage their business assets, such as Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts and WhatsApp business accounts, as applicable and the people who work on them. When referred to herein, this term means the Business Portfolio that owns the Business Asset that you've selected for Meta Verified for Business.
- Business Asset means your business's Facebook Page, Instagram professional account and/or WhatsApp business account, as applicable, selected for Meta Verified for Business.
- Applicant means a person who has been granted full administrative control of the Business Asset and who has applied to be a Paid Subscriber of Meta Verified for Business on behalf of the business.
- Meta Verified for Business is an automatically renewing, paid monthly subscription toolkit, made available on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp (separate purchase per application), and purchased by an eligible Paid Subscriber, in exchange for certain benefits determined at Meta's sole discretion, which will include a verified badge, and may include one or more of the following (collectively, "Meta Verified Benefits"): a verified blue badge; impersonation protection; access to account support for most common issues; and prioritisation and increased visibility across some surfaces, which could include recommendations, search and comments. For users accessing Meta Verified in-app, where available, they must have full administrative control of the Business Portfolio to manage the Meta Verified subscription, including having access to customer support. Increased visibility may vary depending on a number of factors, including the Business Asset's existing audience size and the topic of their posts. Business Assets with a smaller following may see a more noticeable impact to their reach as their audiences are smaller. Not all Meta Verified Benefits are available on all platforms, and Meta Verified for Business may not be available in all regions or to all businesses within that region. Meta Verified Benefits may change periodically or from time to time as we keep improving the service.
- Renewal Date means the calendar day in each month following your Subscription Date that corresponds with the calendar day of your Subscription Date. On each Renewal Date, your Meta Verified subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged for another Subscription Term unless you cancel your Meta Verified subscription or your subscription is otherwise discontinued, in accordance with Section VII below. For example, if you pay for Meta Verified for Business on 15 February, you will be charged for another month of the Meta Verified subscription on 15 March and the 15th day of each subsequent month until your Meta Verified subscription is cancelled or otherwise discontinued. In the event that you pay for Meta Verified for Business on a calendar day not contained in a given month, your Renewal Date will be on the last day of such month. For example, if your Subscription Date is 31 March, your first Renewal Date will be 30 April and subsequent Renewal Dates will be on the 30th day of subsequent months. If an automatic renewal fails, a grace period ("Grace Period") of up to 16 days (depending on your payment method) will be added to your subscription so that you can update your payment information. During the grace period, you will not lose access to Meta Verified for Business.
- Subscription Date means the date on which you pay for Meta Verified for Business.
- Subscription Term means each one-month period following your Subscription Date. For example, if you apply and submit payment for Meta Verified for Business on 15 March, the then-current Subscription Term will last from 15 March until 14 April and the next Subscription Term will automatically begin on 15 April.
