Community chats are chats created specifically for Facebook groups. Note that they are not available to all groups (e.g. commerce groups) or people at this time.
You can use community chats for real-time conversations with other people in your group. For example, you can use community chats to coordinate an in-person event, discuss a topic that's relevant to just some members or socialise.
Who can create a community chat

In public groups, anyone can find and preview the community chats, but if participant approval is turned on, members must first be approved as a participant before they can send messages, react and participate in chats.
