Who can join and participate in the group
Public groups- Anyone on Facebook can join automatically (there's no approval process)

Examples of each group type
Public groups: Someone might choose to create a public group for something such as fans of a television show or travel tips for their city.
Private groups: Someone might choose to create a private group to discuss something more sensitive, such as a health concern, or for a group of people who know each other, such as a neighbourhood.

- If you're an admin of a public group: Change your group from public to private. (Note: Once a group is private, it can't be changed to public.)

Note
- Invited members are members of a group who can see the group in preview mode.
- When a Page joins a group, there could be several admins of that Page. All of them can see and interact with posts and members of the group.
- If an admin of the group has added a third-party app, the app has access to posts and comments in the group. Third-party apps can't access who wrote posts and comments unless the app has been given permission by the author.
- Select rights owners may be able to search sale group posts, including sale posts listed in private groups, to prevent the misuse of intellectual property on Facebook.
