Eligibility requirements
You can sign your business up for Meta Verified if you have full control of an eligible business portfolio and meet the eligibility requirements.
Verification process
When you sign your business up for Meta Verified, you'll follow a multi-step verification process and submit an application for review.
Step 1: Choose your business assets.
You'll choose which business asset(s) you want to verify. You can verify up to two eligible business assets that belong to the same business portfolio. This can be one Instagram asset and/or one Facebook asset.
- Example: One Facebook business Page and one Instagram professional account.
Step 2: Set up your payment.
You'll make your first subscription payment; after which, you'll be charged automatically on the same day each month. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
Step 3: Add extra security.
Everyone with access to the business portfolio needs to enable two-factor authentication on their personal account to continue accessing the business portfolio after the verification process has begun. This requirement helps prevent people from accessing the business portfolio without permission.
Step 4: Verify your business details.
You'll share your business details and confirm your connection to the business. Once you've submitted your information, we'll review it and update your verification status after the review is complete. This process can take up to three days.
After verification
After you've successfully completed the verification process, your business asset(s) will be verified. You'll also receive access to Meta Verified benefits, including account support.
Your verified badge will be displayed:
- On your business asset
- In the Comments section next to your business asset's profile picture
- In search results next to your business asset's name and profile picture
- In direct messages next to your business asset's profile picture
- In Reels, Stories and Feed
- On Facebook Watch
Important notes
- All Meta Verified for business subscribers must follow our Meta Verified for Businesses Terms of Service, Instagram Terms of Use, Facebook Terms of Service, Facebook Community Standards or Instagram Community Guidelines.
- If you provide false or misleading information during the verification process, attempt to claim and verify a business that you aren't authorised to represent, or otherwise attempt to circumvent Meta's verification review system, Meta may prevent your business from being verified, remove your business's verified status or take additional action on the account.
If you have existing business verification based on prior requirements, you can sign up for Meta Verified.
