Eligibility requirements for Meta Verified businesses
Meta Verified for businesses is slowly being rolled out and isn't available for everyone yet.
If it's available and you meet the eligibility requirements, you can sign your business up for Meta Verified.
Note:
The Meta business account, sometimes called a Business Manager account, is being renamed to business portfolio. This change will appear gradually across Meta technologies.
Meta Verified for businesses is a paid subscription for eligible businesses to stand out with a verified badge that confirms that the business is validated and authentic.
To qualify for this subscription, you need to meet the following eligibility requirements.
Applicant eligibility
To sign your business up for Meta Verified, you need to:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be located in a country where Meta Verified for businesses is available.
- Have two-factor authentication enabled on your personal account.
- Have full control of a business portfolio.
- Not exceed the number of times that you can make changes to your business portfolio within a certain time period (e.g. changes to portfolio name).
- Follow our Meta Verified for Businesses Terms of Service, Instagram Terms of Use, Facebook Terms of Service, Facebook Community Standards and Instagram Community Guidelines.
Business portfolio eligibility
Your business portfolio needs to:
- Meet minimum eligibility requirements, such as business portfolio tenure.
- Be located in a country where Meta Verified for businesses is available.
- Not exceed the maximum number of people with full control of the business portfolio.
Business asset eligibility
You can verify up to two eligible business assets in the same business portfolio. This can be one Instagram asset and/or one Facebook asset.
- Example: One Facebook business Page and one Instagram professional profile.
Note: Business assets that are shared with a partner are not eligible for Meta Verified. You'll need to remove all partners from your business portfolio before your business assets can be eligible.
Business asset eligibility requirements differ between Instagram and Facebook.
Instagram business asset eligibility
Your selected Instagram business asset needs to:
- Be an Instagram professional profile that includes a profile picture and category.
- Meet minimum activity requirements, such as prior posting history and follower count.
- Be located in a country where Meta Verified for businesses is available.
- Not exceed the number of times that you can make changes to your account within a certain time period (e.g. changes to location, profile name, profile picture or username).
- Follow our Instagram Terms of Use and Instagram Community Guidelines.
Facebook business asset eligibility
Your selected Facebook business asset needs to:
- Be a Facebook business Page that includes a profile picture, cover photo and category.
- Meet minimum activity requirements, such as prior posting history and follower count.
- Be located in a country where Meta Verified for businesses is available.
- Not exceed the number of times that you can make changes to your account within a certain time period (e.g. changes to location, Page name, profile picture or description).
- Follow our Facebook Terms of Service and Facebook Community Standards.
Note: Eligibility requirements are subject to change as we improve the product experience for our users.
