About website purchases ads

The website purchases ad optimises for online sales by reaching people who are most likely to purchase your product or service.

This ad uses data from the Meta pixel to find likely customers who have taken certain actions on your website, such as viewing a product or adding payment information. Based on your website traffic and other factors, the pixel will analyse what customers are doing on your site. Then, the website purchases ad will use that data to identify the best path that generates a sale.

For example, Jasper's Market may set up its pixel to log every time a customer views a product page, adds a product to their basket and makes a purchase. The pixel finds that there isn't enough traffic yet to analyse customers who have made a purchase, so your ad is automatically shown to people who view products or customers adding items to their shopping basket instead. The website purchases ad will also automatically optimise for purchases once there is enough traffic.

Note: If you don't have a pixel, we recommend creating a website visitors ad. This ad goal helps you reach people who may be interested in your website.
