Insights on your Facebook Page

To get a better understanding of your Page, you can find insights on how others discover and interact with your Page. Insights can help you learn more about your audience and what content resonates with them most. You can locate insights within professional dashboard on desktop and mobile under the Insights tab.

Page overview/performance

Page overview/performance displays metrics from the last 7, 14, 28 or 90 days.

  • Post reach: The number of people who saw your content at least once. People reached is different from impressions, which may include multiple views of your content by the same people. This metric is estimated.
  • Engagement: The number of reactions, comments, shares and clicks on your post.
  • Net followers: The number of new followers minus the number of unfollows. Any new followers who have followed multiple Pages in your collection will only be counted once.
  • 3-second video views: The number of times that your videos played for at least 3 seconds, or for 97% of their total length if they're shorter than 3 seconds. Time spent replaying a video during a single instance of the video playing won't be included. This metric is based on how many seconds a video was played, instead of the amount of time that passed while the video was playing.
  • 1-minute video views: The number of times your videos played for at least one minute. Time spent replaying a video during a single instance of the video playing won't be included. This metric is based on how many minutes of a video were played, instead of the amount of time that passed while the video was playing.

Reels post insights

  • Post reach: The number of people who saw your reel at least once, whether or not your reel was played. People reached is different from impressions, which may include multiple views of your reel by the same people.
  • Plays: The number of times your reel starts to play or replay after an impression has already been counted. This is defined as plays of 1 ms or more. Replays are counted after the initial play in the same reel session.
  • Initial plays: The number of times your reel starts to play for the first time in a reel session. This is defined as plays of 1 ms or more and excludes replays.
  • Replays: The number of times your reel starts to play again after an initial play of your reel. This is defined as replays of 1 ms or more in the same reel session.
  • Average minutes viewed: The average number of number of minutes that your reels was played for.
  • Minutes viewed: The total number of minutes that your reel was played for, including any time spend replaying your reel.
  • Likes: The number of likes on your reel.
  • Comments: The number of comments on your post.
  • Shares: The number of shares on your post.

Post Insights

  • Post reach: The number of people who saw your content at least once. People reached is different from impressions, which may include multiple views of your content by the same people.
  • Impressions: The number of times that your content was on screen.
  • Engagement: The number of reactions, comments, shares and clicks on your post
  • Reactions: The number of reactions on your post. The reactions button on a post allows people to share different reactions to its content.
  • Comments: The number of comments on your post.
  • Shares: The number of shares on your post.

Follower insights

You must have at least 100 followers who are not also friends in order to learn more about your audience.

  • Net followers: The number of new followers minus the number of unfollows during this period.
  • Followers vs non follower: Breakdowns based on post type.
  • Age and gender: The age and gender distribution of this audience. These values are estimated.
  • Top countries: The countries where this audience is concentrated. These values are estimated.
  • Top cities: The cities where this audience is concentrated. These values are estimated.
