About stores on Facebook

Classic Pages on Facebook are updating to the new Pages experience. You'll still have access to many of the same features to manage your professional presence, build your brand or business, grow your audience and connect with followers. Your content, insights, ads, Likes and followers will automatically transfer when your Page updates.

If you have a business with multiple shops, you can promote your shops locally on Facebook and Instagram. Help customers find stores that may be near them by adding store details on Facebook.

Store refers to any physical place of business, including restaurants, dealerships, salons, charities, organisations and other businesses.

Benefits for your business:

  • Help people find local businesses in their area
  • Offer localised and specific content for different stores
  • Manage all store details in one convenient place
  • Aggregate check-ins on the main Page
  • Create ads with shop location features to deliver ads to people within a specific distance from your shops
  • Use Facebook and Instagram search to help people discover stores close to them
  • Note: In response to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), businesses can announce temporary service changes using Store Locations Manager or on their Facebook Page and in searches on Facebook. Learn more.

When you set up stores for your business, a Page structure will be created. A Page structure contains a main Page and multiple store Pages for each physical location of your business.

The default name will be the existing Page name with location descriptor. The location descriptor is "(City)" or "(Address, City)" if there are multiple locations in the same city. For example, if your main Page is called Jasper's Market, names for your store Pages could be "Jasper's Market (Manchester)" or "Jasper's Market (123 High St., Manchester)". Admins can change store Page names and create a username in Page settings.

When customers look for your stores on Facebook and Instagram, they'll see information such as hours, phone numbers and directions to the store that's closest to them. You can also run ads with the awareness objective. People will see ads for the store closest to them.

Store Locations are for businesses with multiple physical locations. If your business has a presence in multiple countries and languages, you may be interested in setting up a global Pages structure.
