About Facebook Live

Facebook Live lets you broadcast Live video from a mobile device, computer or with streaming software. Go live on Facebook to share conversations, performances, Q&As and more while your audience interacts with you in the live chat.

About Facebook Live

There are three ways to broadcast live video on Facebook:

You can go live as a Page or profile and invite your friends and followers to go live with you. Live videos can be shared to groups or live events that you create.

About Facebook Live audience settings

When you host a Live broadcast from your profile, you'll be able to choose the audience who can watch it. Once your broadcast has been posted, you can change the audience at any time:

  • Broadcasts with a Public audience can be accessed by anyone on or off Facebook, and anyone can see the host and guests.

Note: Live broadcasts from a Page are public and can't be changed.

  • Broadcasts with any other audience setting are only available to Facebook users within that audience. Anyone within the selected audience will be able to see the host and guests.

Facebook Live policies

Your broadcast needs to follow our Community Standards and Terms of Service. Hosts, guests and viewers can report the broadcast if they believe that it goes against our policies. Learn more about Facebook Live policies.

If you choose not to post your live broadcast, the recording will be deleted unless it was reported for going against our policies. If it was reported, it will be deleted after review.
