About users in Meta Business Manager

The Meta business account, sometimes called a Business Manager account, is being renamed to business portfolio. This change will appear gradually across Meta technologies.

Add different types of users to your business portfolio in Meta Business Manager based on your business needs. Business settings lists three types of users. It's important to know the differences between them so that you can add the right users in the right places.

The three types of users are:

• People: People are individuals that you add to your business portfolio. They are assigned access to your business portfolio and business assets through a 2-layer permissions system.
• Partners: Partners are other businesses, such as agencies or clients, with whom you work. You can add partners to your business portfolio so that you can share business assets with each other. To give a partner access to your business portfolio, they must have their own business portfolio.
• System users: System users represent servers or software that make API calls to assets owned or managed by a business portfolio.

  Note: Not all accounts have access to system users.
