Change access and permissions for a business portfolio or business asset
The Meta business account, sometimes called a Business Manager account, is being renamed to business portfolio. This change will appear gradually across Meta technologies.
You can manage access and permissions for your business portfolio and business assets in Meta Business Suite and Business Manager at any time.
Before you begin
You must have full control of the business portfolio or business asset.
Change business portfolio access
To change the level of access to a business portfolio in:
Business Manager
- Go to Business settings.
- Under Users, click People.
- Select the name of the person whose access you want to change.
- Click the 3 horizontal dots icon, then select Edit business portfolio permissions.
- Make your changes. To finish, click Save.
Meta Business Suite
- Go to Settings.
- Under Users, click People.
- Select the name of the person whose access you want to change.
- Under business portfolio access, select Manage.
- Make your changes.
Change business asset permissions
To change permissions for a business asset in:
Business Manager
- Go to Business settings.
- Under Users, click People.
- Select the name of the person whose access you want to change.
- Under Assigned assets, click on a business asset to see the permissions.
- Make your changes. To finish, click Save.
Meta Business Suite
- Go to Settings.
- Under Users, click People.
- Select the name of the person whose access you want to change.
- Under Assigned assets, select Manage.
- Make your changes.
Note: If a partner shares a business asset with your business portfolio, you are limited to the specific permissions that they assigned. This may restrict you from giving a person full control of that particular business asset.
