Accepted payments methods to pay for ads using prepaid funds

Some payment methods may support currencies other than what's already listed in this article. You may notice that an additional payment method is available to you depending on the currencies your ad account is set up with.

When you first create your ad account, the payment method that you add to it determines how you'll pay for your ads. If you use any of the payment methods for prepaid funds on this Page, your ad account will be set up for prepaid funds. This means that you'll manually add money to a prepaid funds amount on your ad account before your ads run. As you advertise on Meta, we'll deduct from the money that you added approximately once a day to pay for your ads. If you have multiple payment methods set up, you can set one as your default option.

The payment methods for prepaid funds available to you depend on your current location and currency. Your ad account's country and currency must match the country and currency of the payment method you want to use. At this time, we support the following payment methods for prepaid funds:

Note: Some payment methods may only be available on desktop or mobile.

If you're not in one of these supported countries, we support PayPal and numerous credit cards or co-branded debit cards as payment options for ad accounts with automatic billing. Learn more about the available payment options for ads.

Note: Once you've opened an ad account that's set up for prepaid funds, you won't be able to switch to automatic billing. However, you'll still have the option to add money to your prepaid funds amount with a credit or debit card.

Why can't I see the payment method I want to use?

If you can't see an option to add one of the payment methods above, it may be because:

  • The country and currency of your ad account don't match the payment method you're trying to use. Using the table in this article, make sure that the currency that you've selected and the country of your ad account are the same as the payment method that you want to use.

Why do I get an error message when I try to add funds to my account?

Top-up minimums are required to add prepaid funds. If you try to add funds less than the top-up minimum, you will receive an error message and be required to add the minimum top-up amount.
