Our goal

Supporting women’s economic empowerment.

#SheMeansBusiness aims to give women the tools they need to make their businesses resilient against any challenge. The program is a Meta initiative dedicated toward supporting women entrepreneurs through education and community building with local partners, empowering them to enter digital markets more easily. Digital spaces provide new opportunities for women-owned businesses to thrive, and we aim to support women entering them.

#SheMeansBusiness is Meta’s long-term commitment to women’s economic empowerment.

The program supports women-owned enterprises entering the digital economy with training on digital marketing and business resiliency through financial education. These training sessions were created with our local partners, with the goal of providing useful tips for women-owned businesses on their journeys.

Equalize economic opportunities.

We aim to address the disparities in financial and digital marketing skills that can hinder the businesses of economically disadvantaged women, in order to set them up for success. Female entrepreneurial success always help society as whole; when women businesses succeed, we all do.

SheMeansBusiness founded to support female-owned enterprises trying to enter the digital economy, through digital skills training and business inspiration.¹

Women trained across 38 markets spanning six continents. These women will create future businesses and initiatives that give back to their community.²
