Make your shop more discoverable with high-quality product information in your catalogue.
Providing detailed product information in your catalogue helps build trust with customers and makes it easier for them to find the products they're looking for. Follow these best practices to make your products more discoverable through search and filters, and to help customers make more informed purchase decisions.
Required
- The URL of the specific website page where people can learn more about or buy the product.
- Links must be valid and begin with http:// or https://

- Provide a different link for each product.
- Lead to seller-owned domain and the corresponding product on your website.

- Include at least one image per product.
- Use JPEG, PNG or GIF format up to 8 MB.
- Match the title and description of the exact product for sale.
- Do not include offensive content such as nudity, explicit language or violence.
- Product images display in square (1:1) format. The minimum image size is 500 x 500 px.

- Include four or more unique and relevant images per product.
- Include a mix of different types of images that show the product from different angles.
- Make sure that your primary image is a clear shot that captures your entire product.
- Make it clear which product you're selling in the images you provide.
Discouraged
- Less than two images per product.
- Blurry, low resolution or featured with a bad background.
- Text, such as calls to action or promo codes, time-sensitive information, watermarks.
- Featured at an angle that is difficult to see the main features or include multiple products that you're trying to sell.

- Include the price of the product.
- Format the price as a number, followed by a space and then the 3-letter ISO 4217 currency code.
- Always use a full stop (".") as the decimal point, not a comma (",").
- Don't include currency symbols such as "$".

- The title should read naturally without extra words or keyword stuffing.
- Describe the product accurately.
- Avoid profanity and offensive language.

- Use a clear title that represents how a buyer would describe your product in less than ten words.
- Include meaningful and product-identifying attributes such as strong brand names, age group, gender, size, colour, size type or personalisation options.
- Start with the most important information first, especially if it's not visible in the image.
Discouraged
- Be the same as the product description.
- Using ALL CAPS for words, phrases or entire titles. People may associate all caps with spam or misleading marketing.
- Extra words or keyword stuffing.
- Symbols such as ! * ?.
- Special characters such as ░ À ╠ § because they may appear differently.
- Promotional messages such as "Sale" or "Free Delivery". Titles should only describe the product itself. Add other information in appropriate fields.
- Subjective phrases such as "Hot product", "Bestseller" or "Great Gift".

- If you sell multiple variants of the same item, such as different sizes or colours, set up variants in your catalogue so they display correctly.

- Include the brand name, unique manufacturer part number (MPN) or Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) of the product.
- Only enter one of these, not all of them. For GTIN, enter the product's UPC, EAN, JAN or ISBN.
