About payouts in Commerce Manager
With checkout, customers can purchase items directly on Facebook or Instagram. Checkout is currently available in the US and to a limited number of other businesses. If you use checkout, you can access payouts for Facebook or Instagram sales.
How you get paid
When you set up a shop with checkout, you provide payout information in Commerce Manager, such as a bank account. When you make sales on our platform, you must dispatch orders within a default of three working days or within the handling time you specified. Make sure that you provide tracking information for each shipment.
Note: If you don't include a valid tracking number for orders, we aren't able to confirm dispatch. This may delay payment. We cancel any orders not marked as dispatched after 30 days.
Our payment processors handle your transactions and appear as Merchant of record. Payouts will be received within 30 days after you've marked the order as dispatched. You can receive faster payouts for continued demonstration of product delivery as expected. Learn how to use Commerce Manager to view payout details and payout history. Payouts:
- Include reference IDs, payout dates and each amount in Commerce Manager.
- Are issued in US dollars to the bank account provided in Commerce Manager.
- Include a selling fee.
How we handle sales tax
We consider several factors to determine sales tax. Learn more about how we calculate tax.
To help with accounting, you can download certain financial reports and tax forms in Commerce Manager.
Why a payment may be delayed
To help keep our technologies safe and ensure authentic connections between people and businesses, we monitor and investigate business behaviour. We may delay your payout when we find your account engaging in behaviours that are considered to be in violation of our commerce eligibility requirements. If you would like to request review of a payout delay, you can do so in Meta Account Quality.
