About Shop Pay by Shopify

We are gradually introducing this feature and it may not be available to you right now. This feature is limited to sellers in the US.

Shop Pay, a payment method offered by Shopify, is available when making purchases from participating Facebook or Instagram Shops in the US. Customers can checkout using Shop Pay, as well as other payment methods like credit cards, debit cards or PayPal. You don't need to have a Shopify account to offer Shop Pay at checkout. Shop Pay is automatically turned on when you set up your shop for the first time. If you don’t want your customers to use Shop Pay, you can turn it off at any time.

With Shop Pay, customers can save their email address, phone number, credit card and shipping address for use in future transactions. When customers use Shop Pay as their payment method within Meta Pay, Shopify receives order information to provide customers with services like order tracking and payment status updates, product recommendations in the Shop app, and fraud detection and prevention.

Our chargeback, dispute, and refund policies are applicable to Shop Pay transactions, consistent with the buyer support we provide for other payment methods within Meta Pay. There is no additional cost for businesses to accept Shop Pay. Your use of Shop Pay is subject to Shop Pay seller terms which are reflected in our Commerce Product Seller Agreement.
