About the Meta Certified Marketing Science Professional exam

105 minutes Exam audience:
The ideal candidates have at least three years of career experience with consulting on measurement strategies and doing research using data manipulation skills. The candidates are skilled with using data, insights and measurement to make informed marketing recommendations. They understand experimental design, including power analysis. They understand statistics, including how to calculate descriptive and summary statistics of a data set, such as central tendency, standard deviation, variance and distribution. They understand statistical inference, correlations and how to perform various standard statistical tests, such as a t-test, F-test and ANOVA. They understand associated terms, such as p-value and confidence intervals. They understand regression analysis and diagnostics, such as errors, residuals and coefficients. They have experience preparing data for statistical analysis using analytics tools such as R, Python, SQL and Excel to query data.

A: Your certification is valid for one (1) year from the day earned.
A: The Marketing Science Professional exam consists of the following sections. The percentages reveal how much each section will count towards your final mark. Use this breakdown to guide your studying and develop the skills that are most critical to earning a certification and advancing your career. Assess (20%)
This section will test your ability to:
- Reconcile business goals with KPIs.
- Evaluate the data quality and relevance of existing data sources.
- Evaluate differences in measurement methodology.
- Communicate assumptions based on situation assessment.
This section will test your ability to:
- Translate a business goal to a testable hypothesis.
- Determine actions based on hypothesis validation or invalidation.
This section will test your ability to:
- Recommend a measurement approach and its associated solution, such as modelling, attribution or incrementality testing.
- Make decisions required to design a test addressing the hypothesis.
- Determine feasibility to move forwards with a measurement solution.
This section will test your ability to:
- Analyse data using statistical methods.
- Analyse data using exploratory methods.
- Interpret statistical outputs.
- Interpret data visualisations.
This section will test your ability to:
- Make decisions and judgments required to synthesise the results from statistical and data analyses.
- Apply concepts required to prove or disprove the hypothesis.
- Evaluate the impact of the measurement approach on KPIs.
This section will test your ability to:
- Make recommendations for future campaigns based on insights.
- Determine iterative measurement opportunities based on insights.
A: You have two options for recertification:
Option 1: Complete online courses and assessment (refresh).
If you choose this option, please note the following:
- The refresh option is available prior to the certification expiry date only.
- The online courses are self-paced and should take approximately two hours to complete.
- Both the courses and assessment are unproctored and only available online.
- The assessment is pass or fail.
- You may retake the assessment after a 24-hour period. Retakes are unlimited, as long as your certification hasn't lapsed.

Option 2: Retake the 200-101 Meta Certified Marketing Science Professional exam.
If you choose this option, please note the following:
- The exam has 60 questions and is 105 minutes long.
- The passing score is 700 out of 1,000.
- There is a five-day waiting period to retake the exam if you don't pass.

Once you've met the requirements for recertification, you'll receive an email confirming your recertification and your new certification expiry date.
