A: The Creative strategy professional exam consists of the following sections. The percentages reveal how much each section will count towards your final mark.

Mobile-first fundamentals (31%)
This section will test your ability to:
  • Determine how people's behaviours are changing on Meta technologies.
  • Describe how Meta technologies deliver against various objectives of the marketing funnel.
  • Determine how to brief for mobile-first ad creative.
  • Determine principles of high-quality and effective mobile-first ad creative.
Research and insights (31%)
This section will test your ability to:
  • Determine the appropriate Meta Ads Manager marketing objectives for a client's business objectives.
  • Determine how ad creative and Ads Manager targeting capabilities affect campaign delivery.
  • Define the tools and resources available to inform the creative development process.
  • Demonstrate how to use resources and capabilities to develop ad creative suited to specific verticals and desired audiences.
  • Use data to determine the relevant insights to include in a creative brief.
Brief development (15%)
This section will test your ability to:
  • Determine optimal campaign objective, placement and formats given measurements and production considerations specific to Meta technologies.
  • Decide which Ads Manager ads targeting capabilities to use in development of the creative brief, given a client's business objectives.
Evaluation and measurement (20%)
This section will test your ability to:
  • Classify measurement solutions that are used to evaluate ad creative and campaigns across different phases of creative and campaign development.
  • Determine quality and effectiveness of a creative sample from a mobile-first perspective.
  • Determine key findings of ad creative and campaign measurement results with regard to impact and efficacy.
  • Determine recommended modifications of ad creative and campaign measurement results.
Q: How do I get recertified?
A: You have two options for recertification:

Option 1: Complete online courses and assessment (refresh).

If you choose this option, please note the following:

  • The refresh option is available prior to the certification expiry date only.
  • The online courses are self-paced and should take approximately two hours to complete.
  • Both the courses and assessment are unproctored and only available online.
  • The assessment is pass or fail.
  • You may retake the assessment after a 24-hour period. Retakes are unlimited, as long as your certification hasn't lapsed.

To start your refresh, go to CertMetrics and click Schedule an exam. Next to Meta Certified Creative Strategy Professional, click Refresh.

Option 2: Retake the exam.

If you choose this option, please note the following:

  • The exam has 60 questions and is 105 minutes long.
  • The passing score is 700 out of 1,000.
  • There is a 5-day waiting period to retake the exam if you don't pass.

To retake the exam, go to CertMetrics and click Schedule an exam. Next to Meta Certified Creative Strategy Professional, click Schedule my exam.

Once you've met the requirements for recertification, you'll receive an email confirming your recertification and your new certification expiry date.
