Troubleshoot blocked website domains
If you send events to Meta from a website domain that violates Meta's terms and policies, the domain may be blocked from sending events to Meta. This means that events that occur while your domain is blocked are not available for use in Meta advertising or measurement, even if your domain is later unblocked. Learn more about prohibited website domains.
Visit the Diagnostics tab in Meta Events Manager to see if you have any blocked domains. If you do have a blocked domain, use these tips to troubleshoot why it's blocked and what you can do:
- Your domain is blocked and the data that you try to send to Meta technologies isn't available for you to use, and you're not sure why. Make sure that you're complying with Meta's terms and policies, including the Business Tools Terms and Community Standards, and not sending events from prohibited website domains.
- Your domain is blocked and the data that you try to send to Meta isn't available for you to use, and you believe that you're violating our terms or policies. If you believe that you're violating our terms or policies, stop sending data from the blocked domain. To stop sending events, remove your Meta pixel from your website. If you set up your data source using code, remove the code from your website. If you set up your data source using a partner integration, visit the partner website to remove your data source.
- You believe that you're complying with Meta's terms and policies and that your domain was incorrectly blocked. If you believe that your domain was incorrectly blocked, Meta pixel admins can request a review of the decision in the Diagnostics tab in Events Manager. Reviews are usually completed in a few days. Once your review is complete, the diagnostic will show whether it was rejected or approved. If your review was rejected but you believe that the decision was incorrect, you can request up to five reviews of a blocked domain. To see past review requests and decisions, check your pixel history in Events Manager.
- You don't recognise or own one of the blocked domains. This may be because someone else set up your pixel on their website. We recommend creating a traffic allow list so that only approved domains can send activity using your pixel. Learn why your pixel may appear on unfamiliar websites and how to better control your pixel traffic.
