About your Meta pixel history
You can see your Meta pixel history in the History tab in Meta Events Manager. The history table includes changes made to your pixel, when they were made and who made them.
Understanding your pixel's history can help you manage and troubleshoot your pixel. For example, you've given someone access to your pixel so they can run ads on behalf of your business. They try to run an ad using your pixel but realise that they no longer have access. You can go to your pixel history to see who made this change and when.
Your history table is organised into five columns:
- Activity. This helps you understand the general type of change made to your Meta pixel. Activity appears in your history if the change occurred on or after the date that the activity became available in the pixel history table. For example, the activity "pixel sharing updated" became available on 15 November 2019, so you'll see pixel sharing history for changes made on or after 15 November. Learn more about activities available in your pixel history and when each activity became available.
- Activity details. This shows more specific details about the activity. For example, it could show you which business portfolio your pixel was shared with.
- Item changed. This column shows you which assets were changed. For example, Jasper's Market has a pixel named Jasper's Market pixel and someone updated the sharing permissions. The Item changed column would say, "Pixel: Jasper's Market pixel."
- Changed by. This could be a person (for example, you or someone who runs ads for your business) or Meta.
- Date and time. This shows you the date and time the change was made.
You can filter your table by Activity and Changed by.
Changes may take up to 15 minutes to appear in your pixel history. If you have admin access for a pixel, you can see its history. Learn how to add people to your Meta pixel in Business Manager.
