Checkout methods and eligibility requirements for Shops on Facebook and Instagram

Note: Checkout on Facebook and Instagram is only available to businesses in the US. You will need a US bank account and business address to set up your shop with checkout.

You will need the following information to set up checkout on Facebook or Instagram:

• Business category and type
• A business address in the US
• US bank account details for collecting payouts
• A federal tax identification number that matches the business representative's name for financial reporting
• A business representative's personal or business identity information to verify the authenticity of the business
• Delivery options, return policy and a customer service email address to set up customer service

Requirements for checkout on Facebook

• If you don't have a catalogue or commerce account yet, you can create these when you set up your shop.
• If you already have a Page and catalogue that you want to use for your shop:

  • You'll need Manage Page permissions for your Page.
  • You'll need Manage catalogue permissions for the catalogue in Business Manager.
  • If a catalogue is shared with you, you can select it when you set up your shop.
  • If you manage your Page or catalogue in a Business Manager account, you need to be an admin on the account.
  • Make sure that your commerce account is connected to your Page and catalogue.

Requirements for checkout on Instagram

• You will need to add your Instagram business account to your Business Manager. Learn how to convert your personal profile to a business account or creator account and add an Instagram account to your Business Manager.
• If you don't have a catalogue or commerce account yet, you can create these when you set up your shop.
