How to create a new Page on Facebook

The new Page experience is a way for you to manage your professional presence on Facebook. It can help you build your brand or business, grow your audience and connect with followers.

Before you begin

To create a new Page, you must have a Facebook profile.

How to create a new Page from your phone

Here's how to create a new Page on your mobile device:

  1. Open the Facebook app.
  2. Tap your profile picture to open Menu.
  3. Tap Pages.
  4. At the top left, tap Create.
  5. Enter your Page name and click Next.
  6. Search for a category or choose one of the popular categories.
  7. Tap Create.
  8. To finish setting up your Page, you can enter your bio, contact information, location and hours.
  9. To customise your Page, you can add a profile picture and a cover photo.
  10. To build your Page audience, tap Invite friends.
  11. If you want to get notifications about your Page, turn on Page notifications on your profile.
  12. Tap Done.

How to create a new Page from your computer

Here's how to create a new Page on your computer:

  1. Log in to Facebook.
  2. On the left-hand side, click Pages.
  3. Below your Pages and profiles, click Create new Page.
  4. Enter the Page name and category.
  5. Click Create Page.
  6. If you want to customise your Page, you can add your bio, a profile picture and a cover photo.

Update your classic Page to a new Page from your phone

If you already have a classic Page on Facebook, you can update your Page to the new Pages experience. Here's how to set up a new Page from your classic Page on your mobile device:

  1. Open the Page that you want to convert to a new Page.
  2. Tap the More ( ... ) menu, and then tap Settings.
  3. Tap New Page experience.
  4. Tap Get started.
  5. Tap Next.
  6. When you're ready, tap Update and use Page now.

Update your classic Page to a new Page from your computer

If you already have a classic Page on Facebook, you can update your Page to the new Pages experience. Here's how to set up a new Page from your classic Page on your computer:

  1. If you're eligible, you'll see a notice on your classic Page that introduces new Pages.
  2. Click Learn more.
  3. Click Get started.
  4. Click Next.
  5. When you're ready, click Update and use Page now.

Your classic Page is now updated to a new Page. To start building connections, you can follow other Pages and profiles.
