How to block someone from your Facebook Page
You can block profiles, Pages, groups and apps from your Page.
When you block someone from your Page, they can no longer see your posts on your timeline, tag your Page, invite your Page to events or groups, or start a conversation with your Page. Public content may still be visible to people who are logged out of a blocked account.
Note: If you block a profile that follows your Page, it will also be removed as a follower. When you block a profile or Page, you only block it from your Page. This doesn't include apps, games or groups that you both participate in.
Before you begin
- You must have Facebook access to block people from your Page. If you have task access for content or messaging and community activity, you can block people in Meta Business Suite. Learn more about task access.
- You'll need to switch into the Page that you want to block someone from.
How to block someone from your Page on a computer
There are several ways to block someone from your Page on a computer.
To block someone from your Page settings:
- Click your Page's profile picture, then click Settings and privacy and choose Settings.
- In the left menu, click Privacy, then click Blocking.
- Select the profiles, apps and Pages you want to block:
- Block users: Type the name of the profile that you want to block, then click Block. You can also click Block followers and search for profiles that you want to block.
- Block apps: Type the name of the app that you want to block.
- Block Pages: Type the name of the Page that you want to block.
When you block a Page or profile, you can also select Block new accounts [user] may create. If you previously blocked someone and want to update your settings to include any new accounts they've created, remove the existing block, then follow the steps to block them and select this option.
Note: Meta may not be able to detect all new accounts.
You can also block multiple followers at a time:
- Click Block followers, then click the box next to the followers that you want to block.
- Click Block.
To block someone from your list of followers:
- Switch into the Page that you want to block someone from.
- From your Page, click Followers.
- Find the person that you want to block, then click
next to their name and select Block. - Next to the search bar in your Followers section, click, then click Manage blocking and follow the instructions to block someone from your Page settings.
There are two ways to block someone from your list of followers:
To block someone from comments on a post:
- Go to your Page's post that has a commenter that you want to block.
- Hover over the photo of the commenter, then click.
- Select Block.
How to block someone from your Page on a mobile device
You can manage blocking from your Page settings, or block a profile in the comments section of a post on your Page.
To block someone from your Page settings:
- Switch into the Page that you want to block someone from.
- Tap
or your Page's profile picture, then tap Settings and privacy. - Tap Settings, then tap Page settings.
- Tap Blocking.
- Tap Add to blocked list and type the name of the profile that you want to block, then tap Block.
To block someone from comments on a post:
- Go to the post with the comment from a profile that you want to block.
- Tap and hold the comment.
- From the options that appear, tap Block user.
You can also block a profile directly:
- Go to the post with the comment from a profile that you want to block.
- Tap the profile that you want to block.
- Tap See options, then tap Block.
