How to turn on badges for top fans and commenters for your Page

Classic Pages on Facebook are updating to the new Pages experience. You'll still have access to many of the same features to manage your professional presence, build your brand or business, grow your audience and connect with followers. Your content, insights, ads, Likes and followers will automatically transfer when your Page updates.

When you turn on top fan or top commenter badges, your most active followers may become eligible to receive them. Actions that may quality fans or commenters for a badge can include when they like, share, react to and comment on your posts and updates.

People who qualify for and accept top fan and top commenter badges have a badge next to their name when they interact with your Page's content.

Before you begin

You must have Facebook access to a Page to manage top fans and commenters for it.

How to turn top fan and top commenter badges on or off

You can turn top fan badges on or off from a computer or a mobile device, but top commenter badges can only be managed from a mobile device.

To turn top fan badges on or off from a computer:

  1. Log in to Facebook, then click your profile photo in the top right.
  2. Click See all profiles, then select the Page that you want to switch into.
  3. Click Professional dashboard in the left menu. You may need to click See more first.
  4. Click Top fans in the left menu below Your tools.
  5. Toggle this setting on or off next to Turn on top fan badges.

To turn top fan and commenter badges on or off from a mobile device:

  1. Tap or your profile picture.
  2. Tap , then choose the Page that you want to switch into.
  3. Tap or your Page's profile picture, then tap Professional dashboard. You may need to tap See more first.
  4. Under Your tools, tap Fan engagement tools. You may need to tap See more first.
  5. Toggle Top fan or Top commenter badges on or off.

How to remove a badge from a top fan or top commenter on your Page

You can only remove a badge from a top fan or top commenter from a mobile device.

To remove a top fan or top commenter's badge:

  1. Tap or your profile picture.
  2. Tap , then choose the Page that you want to switch into.
  3. Go to your Page, then find a comment from the top fan whose badge you want to remove.
  4. Tap the Top fan or Top commenter badge next to their name.
  5. Tap Remove top fan badge or Remove top commenter badge.
