Best practices to reach new audiences
Consider your targeting selections
Our system automatically tries to optimise ad delivery with any audience you create, but the targeting selections that you select may affect its size.
You can use multiple audience options at once when doing so, aligning with your strategy. However, when you want to show your ad to a broader set of people, don't refine your audience too much. Audiences created using too many targeting selections may be too small or specific to be effective.
You can use Estimated audience size to estimate how many Accounts Centre accounts meet the targeting and ad placement criteria that you select while creating an ad. A wide range means that your audience is fairly broad and a narrow range means that your audience may be smaller.
Differences between Estimated audience size and estimated daily results
Estimated audience size generally estimates how many Accounts Centre accounts meet the targeting and ad placement criteria that advertisers select while creating an ad. You can use this estimate to better understand how your targeting selections can limit or expand your audience size. Estimates may vary over time and should not be interpreted as the number of Accounts Centre accounts that will actually view your ads. The estimated range provided may not include the number of people who meet the targeting and placement criteria in some instances.
Estimated daily results are an estimate of the number of Accounts Centre accounts in your audience that you could reach each day depending on factors such as budget, targeting criteria and ad placements. Your actual reach may be higher or lower than this estimate. (Results apply to each day, not to the total results for your ad set).
Estimated audience size and estimated daily results don't affect actual delivery nor do they represent actual campaign reach or campaign reporting.
