Edit a customer list custom audience

You can edit your customer list custom audience at any time to add or remove specific customers. You can also upload a new list to replace your entire existing audience.

Note: Changes to an existing customer list custom audience also update any ad sets or lookalike audiences that use it. However, these changes don't reset your campaign learning phase.

How to edit

Go to your Audiences.
Select your customer list custom audience, then select Update.
Select Replace customers, Add customers or Remove customers.
Upload or paste your updated file or list that includes the information that you want to replace, add or remove from your custom audience. (For a list with Customer value, ensure you include customer value specifically and identify your value column.)
Select Next, then follow the prompts to map your identifiers.
Select Import & upload. A confirmation update will display once your list has been uploaded.
Select from the suggested next steps or select Done.

Check your audience status

The updating process may take a few hours, but your ads will continue to run in the meantime. Go to your Audiences to view your audience status and confirm when your updates are ready.
