About two-factor authentication in Meta Business Manager

As part of our ongoing efforts to increase security on Facebook, we require users of certain Business Managers over 90 days old to complete two-factor authentication. Learn more about other best practices to help make your business accounts in Business Manager more secure.

Two-factor authentication is a security feature that requires individuals to enter a special security code each time they try to access Facebook from a browser or mobile device that we don't recognise.

Two-factor authentication helps to ensure that only authorised users can access your business accounts on Facebook. If admins or users of these Business Managers don't turn on two-factor authentication, we may restrict or remove their access to advertising, remove their permission to manage or edit their shop or remove the account's payment method.

If you created your Business Manager less than 90 days ago, you can choose to require two-factor authentication for people in your Business Manager. Learn more about how to require two-factor authentication.

If two-factor authentication is required for your Business Manager, people must turn on two-factor authentication to access the Business Manager. Learn how to turn on two-factor authentication for Facebook accounts. People who haven't set up two-factor authentication won't be able to access your Business Manager until they turn on two-factor authentication for their personal Facebook account.
