Create ads that click to WhatsApp from your Facebook Page
Certain messaging-related metrics, ad campaigns and organic messaging features for businesses and ads delivered to and from Europe, Japan and South Korea will be unavailable.
If your business is looking to start more conversations with potential customers, you can boost an existing Facebook post from your business Page and create an ad that clicks to a WhatsApp conversation.
Note: This ad option is only available for posts with external links, videos and single photos.Before you begin
- Create a business account by downloading the WhatsApp Business app or integrate with the WhatsApp Business API.
Create ads that click to WhatsApp
- Go to your Page and click Promote.
- Click Add to your advertising plan or Create new ad.
- Under Goal, select Get more messages.
- Under Button label and select Send WhatsApp message.
- Set up your welcome message.
- Select the audience you'd like to reach, or click Create new. This gives you the option to create an audience based on traits such as age, location and interests.
- Set your duration schedule and budget.
- Click Promote now to run your ad.
