How to delete custom conversions in Meta Events Manager

The maximum number of custom conversions per ad account is 100, but you can delete ones you no longer need. Once you've deleted a custom conversion, we'll no longer match or update it. Also, any ad set optimised for a deleted custom conversion will continue to deliver, but may start to perform poorly because we no longer match the custom conversion. Change how these ad sets are optimised before you delete your custom conversion to avoid poor performance.

How to delete custom conversions in Meta Events Manager

To delete custom conversions:

  1. Go to Events Manager.
  2. Click Custom conversions in the top-left menu.
  3. Select the custom conversion that you want to delete.
  4. Click Manage.
  5. Select Delete from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click Delete again to confirm.

When you delete a custom conversion, you won't be able to see it in Ads Reporting or use it to optimise existing or future ad campaigns.

In addition to deleting custom conversions, custom conversions are automatically archived if they're inactive or we don't receive them in two years. Archiving a custom conversion means that we'll remove the custom conversion from Events Manager. However, you can still see past campaign reporting for this archived custom conversion in Meta Ads Manager. To reinstate a custom conversion that was automatically archived, create a new custom conversion with the same rules.
