How to share custom conversions with ad accounts or partners in Meta Events Manager
You can share a custom conversion with other ad accounts or business portfolios.
Note: To share a custom conversion that's part of a business portfolio, you must have full control of the portfolio.
Sharing the custom conversion depends on whether:
- The custom conversion was created from an ad account or a business portfolio.
- You have permission to access the dataset being used by the custom conversion.
Who you can share your custom conversion with
Use the table below to determine whether you can share your custom conversion, and who you can share it with:

Before you begin
If you created your custom conversion from your ad account:
- Your ad account must be part of a business portfolio.
- You must have full control of that business portfolio.
- Make sure that your partner has access to the dataset being used by the custom conversion.
How to share custom conversions
To share custom conversions with other businesses or ad accounts in Meta Events Manager:
- Go to Events Manager.
- Select the
Custom conversions tab.
- Select your custom conversion.
- Click Share.
- Choose who you want to share your custom conversion with.
If you select Share with a partner
- After you've selected Share with a partner, click Assign new partners.
- Enter the partner's business ID. Learn how to find a business ID.
Choose the sharing permissions for your partner.
Optimisation and ads reporting (suggested) lets your partner use the custom conversion in ad campaigns and view the attributed results of that ad campaign in Meta Ads Manager. This selection doesn't allow your partner to view measurement results in Events Manager.

- Click Share custom conversion.
- Optional: Click Assign new partners to assign another partner to your custom conversion. You can also change permissions or remove access entirely for existing partners.
- Click Close.
If you select Share with an ad account
- After you've selected Share with an ad account, click Assign new ad accounts.
Select the ad accounts that you want to share the custom conversion with. The ad account will have the same permissions as the business portfolio.
Note: This list shows up to 100 ad accounts, but you can search for any ad account that's in the business portfolio using the ad account ID.
- Click Share custom conversion.
- Optional: Click Assign new ad accounts to assign another account to your custom conversion. You can also remove access entirely for existing accounts.
- Click Close.
