About Meta Events Manager

We're gradually introducing datasets. If you use a dataset, you may see a different experience in Events Manager.

Meta Events Manager is a tool that enables you to view and manage your event data. In Events Manager, you can set up, monitor and troubleshoot issues with your integrations, such as the Conversions API, Meta pixel and Facebook SDK for iOS and Android. You can also use Events Manager to compare activity across your business's sources over time and create audiences.

There are four icons on the left-hand side of Events Manager: overview, data sources, custom conversions and Partner Integrations.

Go to Meta Events Manager.

Overview

The overview page provides a simplified summary of your event data. It also shows issues and recommendations to help you improve ad performance and measurement with your events.

Data sources

On the data sources page, select the name and ID of your data for insights and management tools. Depending on the type of data that you select, you'll see different tabs at the top of the page. View the chart below to learn about some of the tabs you may see.

OverviewView your event activity overview.
  • Graph: Hover over points in the graph to see a breakdown of your metrics. Learn more about discrepancies between third-party ad reporting tools and Meta Ads Reporting.
  • Table: This shows the name of your active events and the total number of events. Event counts may be different from what you see in Ads Manager and the custom conversions page in Events Manager. Learn more.
  • Test eventsCheck that your events are set up and firing correctly. Learn how to test your app and web browser events and how to test your server events.
  • Check that your events are received correctly.
  • Debug your events if you see any unusual activity.
  • DiagnosticsDiscover and troubleshoot issues related to your integration. Learn more.
  • Find and resolve issues with your integration.
  • Get recommendations on ways to improve your events.
  • HistoryView your pixel and Conversions API history. Learn more.
  • The history table includes changes made to your pixel or Conversions API, when they were made and who made them.
  • SettingsView the details of your integration.

    Settings may differ depending on the type of data you're currently viewing. Examples of actions that you can take on the settings page include:

  • View the ID and owner of your data.
  • View sharing controls and permissions.
  • Select your cookie settings.
  • Manage advanced matching.
  • Use the event setup tool.
  • Set up the Conversions API
  • Control traffic permissions.
  • Custom conversions

    Use the custom conversions page to create, share, manage or delete your custom conversions. Custom conversions aren't available for app and messaging events at this time. Learn more about custom conversions for web events and custom conversions for offline events.

    Partner integrations

    Use the Partner Integrations page to connect a partner account and set up events. Learn more about partner integrations for web, partner integrations for apps, partner integrations for offline conversions and partner integrations for messaging events.

    Note: The total number of events may differ between the data sources page in Events Manager, the Custom conversions page in Events Manager and Meta Ads Manager. Learn about the differences between event counts.
